From Factory Cart to Coffee Table

As purchased, the cart surface had layers of paint, dirt, and grease.

Paint was stripped with chemicals and the wood was sanded to clean the surface.

The wood was finished with danish oil and a semi-gloss clear coat.

Hardware was washed in a mixture of molasses and water to remove rust, brushed, painted, and clear coated.

To complete the project, hardware was installed and hairpin legs were added.

Cart w/ hardware: $80; Paint stripper: $20; Dark Walnut Danish Oil: $9, General Finishes Arm-R-Seal (Semi-gloss): $11, Black Spray Paint: $4, Hairpin Legs: $74. Total: $198 ($300+ less than retail).
